The producer went to state that all the major channels had rejected TMKOC as they felt that it won’t work. However, Asit Modi did not give up and kept trying. Asit Modi revealed that he faced a similar rejection while trying to bring the animated version of TMKOC, Taarak Mehta Kka Chhota Chashmah. He shared that people told him kids love watching magic and superhero. But he convinced people that they will add that magic thing to Tapu and experiment. The producer said that he faced this difficulty for 6 to 7 years, but they worked hard.
“With Taarak Mehta Kka Chhota Chashmah they will have too many characters to explore. Nattu kaka, Bagga, Sodhi, Bapuji, Abdul are loved by kids, not just the main character Jethalal and Daya Bhabhi,” Asit Ji concluded. Taarak Mehta Kka Chhota Chashmah is all set to release on Sony Yay on April 19, 2021.
