Punjabi singer and Congress leader, Sidhu Moose Wala, was shot dead on Sunday by unidentified assailants in Punjab’s Mansa district. Several celebrities including Shehnaaz Gill, Munawar Faruqui mourned his demise. US rapper Drake also offered condolences at the death of the singer.
Drake took to his Instagram Stories to share a picture of the late singer and his mother. The rapper wrote, “RIP Moose” (bird emojis).
Reacting to this, a fan on Twitter wrote, “I always had the feeling that Sidhu and Drake would collab one day because they both have links to Toronto and it would have been massive for the Punjabi music industry, it’s a shame we’ll never see it happen now.” Another one wrote, “Being a punjabi, I am a die hard fan of Sidhu Moose Wala and just tweeted before his death that I wanted a collab of him with drake. Life is so unpredictable. Always loved his vibe. I’ll miss him.”
As the singer passed away, many celebrities took to their respective social media handles to mourn his demise. Shehnaaz Gill wrote, “Kise da jawaan dhee ya putt es duniya toh chala jaave, es toh vadda dukh koi nhi ho sakda duniye te. Waheguruji mehar kareyo #sidhumoosewala.”
Kapil Sharma shared a pic of the late singer and tweeted, “Satnam shri waheguru… very shocking n very sad, a great artist n a wonderful human being, may God give the strengths to his family #sidhumoosewala.” Prince Narula shared a picture of him on Instagram and wrote, “Veer kuch likhen nu nahe hai bus ronaa a reha… Waheguru mehr kare privar teh waheguru. RIP veere.”

Sidhu Moose Wala was one of the top Punjabi rap singers. He was popularly known for his songs ‘Legend’, ‘Devil’, ‘Jatt De Muqabla’ and others.
