The #MeToo movement has gathered momentum in India with powerful men being accused of sexual harassment ever since actress Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar. Now actress Flora Saini, who played the ghost in Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer ‘Stree’, has joined the #MeToo movement and opened up about being assaulted and abused by a popular Bollywood producer.
Sharing her story on Facebook, the actress wrote how her former boyfriend, producer Gaurang Doshi, physically abused her and scarred her for life. She also shared a picture of herself where she has visible injuries on her face. Flora wrote, “That’s me.. Valentine’s day 2007 beaten up by a known producer “Gaurang Doshi’ who I loved n was dating then .. this was the last of the one year abuse I took..came out with a fractured jaw n a scarred soul for life..”
The ‘Stree’ actor further wrote that she spoke up about the producer but no one believed in her.

She further added that not only was she threatened by the producer but also replaced in films due to him. She detailed her ordeal and years of struggle in her post and lauded those who have come out to speak against the ordeal.
