Ramya Krishnan, Bigg Boss Tamil 5

The current season of the Tamil version of the reality television show ‘Bigg Boss 5’ is hosted by Kamal Haasan. However, the actor has been contracted with COVID-19 and is undergoing treatment. Now, Ramya Krishnan will be joining as the host in his absence for the weekend episode.

On Saturday, the makers of the channel release an official promo, which features the actor interacting with the contestants from the hospital via video call. Later, Kamal Haasan was also seen introducing Ramya Krishnan as the host. She was seen gracing the show with the music of ‘Baahubali’ as its background score.

Earlier, Ramya replaced Nagarjuna Akkineni and hosted ‘Bigg Boss Telugu 4’ for a weekend episode.

Meanwhile, Kamal tested positive for COVID-19 after his return from the Unites States and is currently hospitalized in a private hospital in Chennai. “There was a slight cough after returning from the US trip. Govt infection was confirmed on examination. I am isolated in the hospital. Realize that the pandemic is not over yet and everyone is safe,” Kamal shared the news through social media handle.

Kamal will be discharged from the hospital soon. However, an official announcement is yet to be made.

Talking about the work front, Kamal Haasan recently wrapped up the shooting of Vikram with Lokesh Kanagaraj. He will next be seen in ‘Indian 2’ alongside Rakul Preet. The film is directed by Shankar and also stars Kajal Aggarwal.
