83 The Film, directed by Kabir Khan has witnessed a drop in the second-weekend collections at the box office. It has collected Rs 7 crore on the second Sunday. The Ranveer Singh starrer collections saw a drop on Sunday from the earlier day which raked a good number. Despite the shutting down of theatres in several states, amidst the spike in COVID cases, 83 The Film saw a decent collection of Rs 7.25 crore nett on the second Saturday, at the box office. On the first day of the release, the Ranveer Singh starrer collected Rs 11.96 crore nett.
A Box Office India report said that the Kabir Khan-directed film has collected Rs 7 crore nett on Sunday. The report stated that the movie has collected Rs 18.50 crore nett in its second weekend. And, 83 (Hindi) has witnessed a 58% drop in the second weekend collections, from the first weekend.
As per the report, “83 (Hindi) collected 18.50 crore nett in its second weekend which is a 58% drop from the first weekend and pretty much similar to the drop of Sooryavanshi but Sooryavanshi was a holiday weekend to a normal weekend while here it is a holiday weekend to a holiday weekend. The drop is fair but the collections are poor and this drop had to come off far higher collections.”

Meanwhile, 83 The Film was released in theatres on December 24. The movie features Ranveer Singh, essaying the role of former Indian cricket team skipper Kapil Dev. Deepika Padukone plays Romi Dev in the sports drama. The Kabir Khan directorial is based on the 1983 Cricket World Cup and celebrates the victory of the Indian cricket team.
