The writer duo of the blockbuster Zanjeer Salim and Javed had filed a case against the remake of the movie claiming that they have the remake rights of the film so the makers of the new movie should pay them Rs.6 crore as compensation.

As per sources, the two said that they had given the original producer Prakash Mehra the right to make a film on their script only; once so a remake requires their consent. But the high court ruled it out on the basis of no written proof and the film will be released as per say without any delay.

This is a first setback for the writer duo Salim and Javed.
