varun dhawan, harsh varrdhan kapoor

Celebrities are always under public scrutiny. Every step they take or the statements they often make are watched by people. Many celebs often fall prey to trolls or criticism for their statements. Actor Varun Dhawan was the recent to get trolled on social media over on of his interviews where he said “parallel cinema movement has been started by Harsh” (Varrdhan Kapoor). Well, Varun replied back to trolls as he gave a savage reply.

It so happened that Varun Dhawan was with his JugJugg Jeeyo cast Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and Kiara Advani for an interview. It was an interaction with Film Companion, where they were discussing about the different topics films are being made of. Varun said that his father David Dhawan was surprised when he took Badlapur, and Kiara added that her father was also surprised when she chose Guilty. Neetu mentioned about son Ranbir Kapoor’s Rajneeti.

Varun added that the same question must be asked to Anil Kapoor and said, “because actually the parallel cinema movement has been started by Harsh”. The video went viral and netizens started trolling him and reminded him the names of the actors who made parallel cinema famous in the 1970s.

The Coolie No. 1 actor defending what he said tweeted, “Hey guys maybe I misspoke but definitely applaud him for his love for the cinema he does and it takes guts and I enjoyed his films, but getting trolled ka alag maza hain thank u for watching my interviews”.
