Anurag Basu’s spy drama ‘Jagga Jasoos‘ was to attach its trailer to ‘Dangal’, but looks like the makers will have to do away with it. The CBFC has stalled the decision of attaching ‘Jagga Jasoos’ trailer to ‘Dangal’ owing to certification differences.
A source close to an entertainment web portal says, “Dangal has been granted a ‘U’ certificate and is therefore open to viewers of all ages, whereas the trailer of Jagga Jasoos has been given a ‘UA’ certificate, which means it can only be viewed by children accompanied by adults. As per the law, a ‘UA’ trailer cannot be attached to a ‘U’ film.” So that leaves the makers with not much option. Either the makers need to submit a trailer eligible for ‘U’ certificate or send an appeal to the CBFC for the certification of the trailer.
The movie has already faced many delays from the onset. The movie which was to release last year was indefinitely postponed as the shooting of the film got delayed. Reports were doing the rounds that ex-lovers Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif who are playing the lead roles in the movie were the reason for the delay. But, director Anurag Basu clearly denied these reports and stated that the two were extremely professional and put in lots of efforts for their characters.
‘Jagga Jasoos’ will be releasing on April 7, 2017.
