It’s been a couple of weeks after superstar Rajinikanth had suffered an injury while shooting for his upcoming ‘2.0‘, which had even brought a halt in the shooting schedule. And today there’s a sad and more shocking news again reported from the sets of this much-anticipated science fiction film. Recently, Chennai was hit by a cyclone Vardah which created a lot of havoc in the state. And due to it the sets of this Rajinikanth starrer got damaged as they came under the destruction of this natural calamity.
A source has been quoted saying to a leading daily, “The team had erected a set at a popular IT park in Ambattur where several films have been shot before. An office of the Artificial Intelligence Research Centre was created there. Even a military vehicle was seen near by. The shooting happened as per schedule on Sunday, but the crew had to quickly wrap and run on Monday when the wind picked up speed. The storm hit the shooting spot, leaving the set partially destroyed. This has forced the team to put a halt to the shooting mid way.”
Post this halt, the team of ‘2.0’ is now trying to reconstruct the sets and finish the scenes.
Directed by S. Shankar, this sequel to ‘Enthiran’ also stars actress Amy Jackson, Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey in pivotal parts.
It is slated to release during the festive time of Diwali in 2017.
