Bollywood actor Govinda who has been missing from the big screen since long is now all set to make a dhamakedaar comeback in Pahlaj Nihalani’s production ‘Rangeela Raja’. Last year he did appear in the film ‘Aa Gaya Hero’, but unfortunately it tanked at the box-office.
The hit team of Govinda and Pahlaj, who has given us a number of blockbusters like ‘Ilzaam’, ‘Shola Aur Shabnam’ and ‘Aankhen’ are collaborating once again after a gap of 25 years!
The first look of the film was shared on the social media by actress Anupama Agnihotri who is marking her Bollywood debut with this film. Taking to her Twitter handle she wrote, “Super excited and thrilled to share this first look poster of Rangeela Raja, my debut Bollywood movie.”

In the ‘Rangeela Raja‘ poster, a moustached Govinda is seen dressed in a colourful shirt and sporting a pair of black glares and a neck chain.
Giving details of the project Nihalani had told The Indian Express, “It is titled ‘Rangeela Raja’ and it’s an out-and-out comedy. But comedy of a kind never attempted by Govinda before. Unlike the streetwise comic characters, Govinda is famous for, he plays a very sophisticated character in the movie.”
He further added, “He has a double role. But he slips into four different characters. Audiences who have been waiting for Govinda’s comeback will be very pleased to see what he has done in ‘Rangeela Raja’. It is almost like a rebirth of Govinda and I feel happy to be doing his comeback film.”
The movie also stars Mishika Chourasia, Anupama Agnihotri and Digangana Suryavanshi and will be set in Rajasthan.
Apart from this film, Govinda will also be seen in Abhishek Dogra’s comedy film ‘FryDay’ which also stars ‘Fukrey’ fame, Varun Sharma.
