By now we know that Priyanka Chopra has made it big in Hollywood and probably, one of those rare artists who have been able to make a place for themselves there. Deepika Padukone, with her international debut in ‘xXx: Return Of Xander Cage’, seems to be following into her footsteps. So, on the same note, PeeCee was recently asked about Bollywood men going Hollywood, wherein she had apparently said that people need guts to try their luck in Hollywood. This raised a lot of eyebrows and hence, a controversy. But as per Priyanka, she says that she was misquoted like always.
“When they (the media) asked me why the male actors weren’t doing anything, I said, ‘Maybe because they haven’t tried’. That’s all I said. I don’t know where ‘guts’ came from. I didn’t use the word, ‘guts’, and whatever I said was said in a lighter vein. I don’t know why the boys haven’t. Anil Kapoor has done it. He has gone out of his way to work in Hollywood, but not many other Indian actors have. Try kare toh ho sakta hai (it might work out if they try). Irrfan (Khan) and Anil are the only two that come to mind,” said the actress.
On the work front, we await Priyanka’s Hollywood debut ‘Baywatch’ with Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. Meanwhile, the third season of ‘Quantico’ is also ready to make it to the television screens.
