Nora Fatehi, who has earned immense love from the masses for her sizzling belly dancing skills in ‘Dilbar’ and ‘Kamariya’ credits her instant success to Salman Khan’s stepmother, Helen. In an interview with DNA, Nora revealed that Helen has been her idol and her hit song ‘Mehbooba’ from 1975 film ‘Sholay’ has inspired her.
Nora said, “Helenji has truly blessed me! She gave me her blessings the first time I met her during Salman’s (Khan) birthday party in December. I had a long chat with her about my career goals and she put her hand on my head and said ‘I’m giving you blessings and I want all the doors to open up for you. You will do very well in your career.'”
She also revealed the advice Helen gave her and said, “She advised me not to let people bring me down and not to give up. I took a lovely picture with her and since I met her and had the talk, everything has changed for me. My career literally took off and ‘Bharat’, ‘Dilbar’ and ‘Stree’ happened for me.”
Talking about her character in Salman Khan’s ‘Bharat’, the actress told Mid-Day, “Since my role requires me to speak in Spanish, I thought of picking up the language. I haven’t hired a tutor, but I am learning it from a close friend.”
