Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case had given birth to rumours about the actor losing out a lot of films like ‘Sadak 2’, ‘Romeo Akbar Walter’, ‘Half Girlfriend’, ‘Paani’, ‘Fitoor’, ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela’ and the Narayan Murthy biopic. It is said that Akshay Kumar was the reason behind Sushant being replaced in Nitesh Tiwari’s Narayan Murthy biopic. But, Tiwari quashed these rumours saying that the biopic’s screenplay isn’t even ready so there is no way that Sushant was cast in it.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Tiwari said, “It’s very disheartening to see such baseless rumours. We haven’t yet finished writing the screenplay, we haven’t even shared it with Mr Narayan Murthy and Mrs Sudha Murthy for their approval, our studio partner is not on board yet. How could have we gone about casting the film? I shared a fantastic working relationship with Sushant and together we celebrated the tremendous success of our hard work in Chhichhore. I will forever remember him very fondly. Such rumours are not only doing a disservice to Sushant but also to everyone who is seeking the truth.”
Nitesh and Sushant had created absolute magic with their movie ‘Chhichhore’. It was an absolute fan favourite and Sushant’s performance was widely applauded.
