Talking about his decision to withdraw the book Nawaz said, “The book was of 209 pages and only 4 and a half pages were on relationships. I took names in it and that was my mistake. I shouldn’t have done that that’s why I decided to withdraw.”

“But the rest 204 pages is about how I come from a small town and all the struggles it was about that. I had a lot of wrong thoughts within me and how I transformed was in the book. But ignoring all these things the 4 pages were sensationalized. In that case, I thought let me just withdraw.” He added.

Niharika Singh had accused Nawaz that his book, was “fabricating stories and manipulating a fleeting relationship.” Also, Nawaz’s first girlfriend, Sunita Rajwar called it a bluff.
