Diljit Dosanjh talks about opting out of 'Baadshaho'

After making an impressive Bollywood debut with his stellar performance in ‘Udta Punjab’, actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh‘s next Bollywood release ‘Phillauri’ will be hitting the screens in 2017. Not many of his fans would know that Diljit was offered a role in Milan Luthria’s next ‘Baadshaho‘. But ultimately the actor opted out of this movie after he felt that he would not be able to do justice to the role offered to him.

Talking about it to an agency, Diljit Dosanjh said, “Milan sir is a nice director. The role that I was offered I felt I would not be able to justify. It was a nice role. But I couldn’t relate to the character. I felt I couldn’t just do it. I did speak to Milan sir after that (referring to not doing the film).”

Finally, the role went to actor Emraan Hashmi and Diljit is quite happy about it.

“I am fan of his (Emraan) work. God bless him. Emraan will do good work,” added the actor-singer.

With the entry of Emraan, the famous trio of ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai’ is back. The first shooting schedule of this movie has been wrapped up. It also stars Ileana D’Cruz, Esha Gupta and Vidyut Jammwal in pivotal roles.

‘Baadshaho’ is slated to release on March 10, 2017.
