Just a day after the romantic thriller Freddy was announced, Kartik Aaryan revealed that he has begun filming for the Ekta Kapoor and Jay Shewakramani produced the film. Kartik Aaryan was spotted heading to his set through a ferry in Mumbai on August 1. Sharing a picture from set Kartik had written, “Now shooting #Freddy.” Well, since Freddy is a romantic thriller, the fans were wondering who will Kartik romance in this one. If the latest reports are to be believed then Jawaani Jaaneman actress Alaya F will be Kartik’s leading lady in Freddy.

According to a report by ETimes, Alaya F will join Kartik on shoot soon. A source revealed that Alaya has been one of the choices from the get-go and yet a few modalities are being worked out before she begins filming. But the reports also say that there are other names on the table, things are favouring more towards Alaya.



Talking about Alaya’s role, it was quite a meaty one and she seems to like it a lot. Ekta Kapoor and Shashank Ghosh are also said to believe that Alaya fits the role perfectly.

Meanwhile, Talking about Freddy and Kartik, Ekta had earlier said in a statement, “His choices of subject have always been unique and this one is no different. I’m excited to take the audience into this dark, delicious world. Collaborating with Jayu makes it even more special!.” Kartik is also quite excited to be part of the project, he said, “As an actor, I crave to explore different facades of Entertainment and with Freddy, I’m venturing into an uncharted territory which is both exciting and intriguing in equal measures. I look forward to dwell in the world of Freddy and bring alive this dark romantic thriller. It also marks my first collaboration with a visionary like Ekta Kapoor and creatives forces like Jayu and Shahshanka. Couldn’t have asked for a better team on this new journey.”
