‘Ek Villian’ starring Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor, has got off to a stupendous start at the box office. The romantic-thriller managed to earn Rs 16.72 crore the opening day. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the first day figures of ‘Ek Villain’, “#EkVillain Fri ₹ 16.72 cr nett [2539 screens]. India biz. Second highest opener of 2014. In terms of screen average, it’s HIGHEST. AWESOME!”
Another trade analyst Komal Nahta tweeted, “‘Ek Villain’: Maya Gorakhpur morning show full. Noon matinee and evening 85% sold out in advance. Great! Velocity Indore: ‘Ek Villain’ 09:55 a.m. show Rs. 18,724.85. That’s unbelievable!”
‘Ek Villain’ team was seen celebrating the film’s success at director Mohit Suri’s office in Mumbai. Riteish Deshmukh took to Twitter to post the celebration pictures.
