anushka reacts trolls team india pic

Bollywood actors Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma came together to launch the trailer of their upcoming release ‘Sui Dhaaga-Made in India.’ During the media interaction, the actors opened up on working on real locations, the unique marketing strategy and also about learning stitching and embroidery to add authenticity to their characters in the Maneesh Sharma production.

Among the many questions asked, Anushka was also questioned about the trolling she faced for posing with the Indian cricket team in London. Before Anushka could reply, Varun Dhawan, her co-star stood in her defense and quipped, “I have also played a dog in Sui Dhaaga so I can bite you too.”

Anushka replied to the question with dignity and said, “About this, whoever had to make a clarification have already done. This was trolling activity and I don’t react to trolls and give any attention to them. Whatever happened has happened within the guidelines and will always do so. Let’s not make a hue and cry about a topic of little substance.”

Anushka Sharma was recently trolled and criticised for posing with her husband Virat Kohli and the rest of the Indian team at the High Commission of India in London. The picture was shared by the official BCCI Twitter handle last week and included no other wives or girlfriends of the team members. However, a source close to BCCI soon clarified and said that no official protocol was broken as the Indian High Commission had invited all the players along with their families.

In ‘Sui Dhaaga: Made In India’, Anushka plays the role of ‘Mamta’, a housewife, who helps her husband Mauji, played by Varun Dhawan, to set up a business after he is ridiculed by his employers. The story is all about the trials and the tribulations the couple faces as they try to set up their business.

Directed by Sharat Kataria, the movie is all set to hit the theaters on September 28. Anushka also has ‘Zero’ featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. The Aanand L Rai directorial is all set to release on December 21, 2018.
