Meanwhile, apart from revealing the Raksha Bandhan release date, they are also set to clash with Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha at the box office. The much-awaited film will also release on August 11. Considering that both the films are touted as big, we wonder how both the film’s business turns out to be at the box office.

Earlier, Akshay wrapped up the shooting of the film in October last year. He shared a picture with the director and wrote, “Here’s to all I and @aanandlrai did throughout the shoot of #RakshaBandhan – laugh like there’s no tomorrow! Ironically, as we wrapped the film last night, there was a bittersweet tinge of sadness. Off to the next. New day, new roller coaster.

Helmed by Aanand L Rai, Raksha Bandhan stars Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar. The movie’s release date is 11 August. Akshay will be reuniting with his Toilet: Ek Prem Katha co-star Bhumi Pednekar in this movie.
