Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam was released in 2015 and it was a huge hit amongst the audience. The movie also became a path-breaking success with the critics and at the box office window. It also starred Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Rajat Kapoor, and Mrunal Jadhav in the pivotal role. The film is a remake of the 2013 Malayalam-language film of the same name. Now, Ajay revealed that Drishyam 2 has gone on floors.
The Singham actor took to his social media and shared a behind-the-scene picture with his co-star Shriya Saran and director Abhishek Pathak. Sharing the picture, he captioned it as: “Can Vijay protect his family again? #Drishyam2 shoot begins.”

The Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam actor will be seen reprising his role of Vijay Salgaonkar while Shriya will be essaying the role of his wife Nandini in Drishyam 2.
Talking about Drishyam 2, Ajay Devgn in an official statement said: “Drishyam was loved and it’s a legend. I am now elated to present yet another interesting story with Drishyam 2. Vijay is a multidimensional character and he creates an engaging narrative onscreen. Abhishek Pathak (director) has a fresh vision for this film. I’m keenly looking forward to part 2, filling in the large shoes of the earlier film with people investing in the mystery and the characters.”
The 2015 film Drishyam was directed by Nishikant Kamat, who passed away in 2020. For the second part, Abhishek Pathak has taken over the director’s seat, who has won the National Award. The second part of the movie will begins 7 years after the events in the first film. It tests Vijay’s resolve to protect his family for whom he would cross any limits.
