Abhishek Bachchan made a comeback to films with Anurag Kashyap’s romantic-drama ‘Manmarziyaan’ after a brief sabbatical. Post the release of ‘Manmarziyan’, the Jr. Bachchan has been receiving praise for his portrayal of Robbie in the film.
In one of his recent media interactions, Abhishek recalled an incident that will leave you a bit shocked. The actor said that after the release of his film ‘Shararat'(2002), he had gone to Gaiety Galaxy Theatres, in order to see the reaction of the audience. However, he experienced a rude shock as a cinegoer came up to the actor and gave him a tight slap.
Recalling the terrible incidence, Abhishek said at the recent Jagran Film Summit summit, “One moment I’ll never forget ki meri ek film release hui thi ‘Shararat’ aur main Gaiety Galaxy gaya uske reactions dekhne ke liye. Ek lady thi woh picture dekh ke bahaar nikli interval mein aur unhonein bahaar aake, main concessions stand ke paas khada hua tha, aur unhonein mujhe baahar aake thappad maar diya, aur kaha ki, ‘You’re embarassing your family’s name, stop acting.” (After watching ‘Shararat’ a lady in the theatre came up to me and slapped me saying, ‘You’re embarrassing your family’s name, stop acting.”)
Abhishek had previously spoken about this incident in 2012 in an episode of the show ‘Yeh Hai Meri Kahaani’. While it’s sad that Abhishek had to face such a situation, it’s very brave of the actor to talk about this incidence so openly.
On the work front, after ‘Manmarziyaan’, Abhishek will be seen alongside wife Aishwarya in ‘Gulab Jamun’.
