Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham is one of the most iconic movies in Bollywood. It was a trendsetter in more ways than one and is still loved by the fans a lot. As Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham clocks 20 years today, director Karan Johar shared a special post on his social media account with a heartfelt note. Karan also announced a week-long celebration of the movie which has the K3G fas quite excited.
Karan shared a video montage from the Bole Chudiyan song where the entire Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham cast Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan were seen sharing a group hug.
Sharing the video on his Instagram account, Karan wrote in the caption, ” It’s going to be 20 years and I still feel the euphoria of having this film release on the big screen and people going to watch it. But I feel the impact sank in for me much later. And that feeling hasn’t stopped ever since. I see all the videos, all the occasions this film’s music is a part of, all the dialogues people have now inculcated in their daily life and of course – the fashion!! K3G was released on 14 December 2001 and was produced by Yash Johar. The movie had broken all opening records at the box office as it opened at around ₹70 million net collections in its first weekend in India. The Karan Johar directorial became the second-highest grosser of 2001 domestically, collecting ₹550 million in India.
