Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are finally married according to both North and South Indian customs. Both the weddings took place at Lake Como, Italy on November 14 and 15. Only their families, relatives and close friends were present as it was a hush-hush affair. Now, the wait is over as the first official pictures from both the weddings are out. We are over the moon seeing the lovely couple in their wedding attire. They looked gorgeous and classy.
Ranveer and Deepika donned outfits designed by ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. For the Konkani wedding, Deepika wore a red and gold silk saree with a golden matha-patti and jadau jewellery. For the Anand Karaj wedding, the couple painted the entire town red. They were in red. The bride donned a red lehenga with heavy golden thread works, a maang tika, a big nath, chooda, kalire and several rings on both her fingers. Another thing we noticed was that the words ‘Sada Suhagan Bhavah’ were imprinted on her dupatta.
For the Konkani wedding, Ranveer donned an off-white and gold kurta and dhoti with the traditional mundavli. For the Anand Karaj ceremony, he was in a red kanjeevaram sherwani with a red saafa (turban) with exquisite stones and kundan jewelleries.
Deepika and Ranveer’s wedding pictures have been auctioned to raise funds for ‘The Live Love Laugh Foundation’. As per the latest reports, the pictures have been sold to leading magazine Vogue India. The couple will host four receptions post their arrival in India. The first reception will be on November 21, second on November 24, 3rd on 28th and the fourth will be on December 1.
We wish the couple a blissful life ahead.
