After taking a quick break and celebrating Diwali with her family in Manali, actress Kangana Ranaut headed straightaway to Bhopal to kickstart her next film ‘Panga’. Directed by filmmaker Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari of ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ fame, ‘Panga’ went on floors today.

Ashwiny shared the pictures from the first day of the shoot on her Instagram handle. The director posted a few pictures of the clapperboard alongside the caption, “In alignment to a dream. #panga #cinemalove #1111”

Also starring Jassie Gill, Neena Gupta, Richa Chadha and Pankaj Tripathi, ‘Panga’ is a film revolving around the game of Kabaddi and importance of family. Talking about the film’s story, Ashwiny was quoted saying to Mumbai Mirror as, “A story that needs to be told and I’m telling it at the right time. That it’s also linked to a sport makes it more challenging.”

This is the first time when Kangana will be working with a female director and she is all excited about it. In ‘Panga’, Kangana will be playing a National-level Kabaddi player, whereas Jassie Gill will be playing her husband’s role in the film.
